Does anyone know what type of car is in this photo?

    GMC Suburban, 1962-1966 generation. Maybe the opening windows or mirrors could give a clue to the exact year, but I'm not overly familiar with such details.

    Certainly looks like it but couldn't it just as well be the Chevy version of the Suburban which was almost identical, except for badges.



    BTW-I was astonished to note that Suburbans of that era were all apparently two-doors!

    not sure about that gen, but the next version had 3 door (can't say if that was standard or optional).

    True. I should have said "GM Suburban." I think badges were the only thing to distinguish them. It was not until the 1967 iteration that they started making different grilles and headlights for them.
