    Why didn't you demonstrate the problem to the dealer?
    As for not taking it back to be fixed now you've found the problem, words fail me. :surprise:

    I would at least make sure that they credited me some of the amount previously charged toward the cost of the repair.

    I can see the how this will probably play out - Dealer cover their butts with " diagnostics charge" with no guarantees other then on the "repair" they did. I have read others posts with same frustration. I had outside mechanic replace starter for no result. they will likely take the position that its a complex problem with multiple causes. But i do agree that they should offer something after all we pay a premium for "dealer repairs" I expect them to know more then others. Yet here i am on a blog trying to fix my jeep which all you great posters have done for me.
