    We have had an ID.4 since April of 2021. We love it! The writer is correct in that the electronics can and are buggy. There are times where it doesn’t want to go. Like it doesn’t know someone is in the seat ready to roll. It’s a very easy car to use once you get used to it’s nuances. I purchased a level 2 charger and plugged it in to my 220v dryer outlet and it works perfectly. It takes about 7 hours to charge from about 15% to 90% . One other issue is we already had to replace the rear tires due to the weight of the car. We only had 25K miles on them.

    This really feels like a post that is designed to capture some of the 'problems with Volkswagen ID.4 traffic' because you are scraping the bottom of the barrel to find problems.

    Try deflating the tires to 38 PSI. The US versions ship at very high pressure, and for reasons I don't understand, the door sticker says 44 PSI, but in Europe that pressure is only used for a fully laden vehicle. Otherwise, that high PSI will wear the tires out. But, that said, an EV is going to eat tires faster than an ICE.

    Statistically, all cars have issues. The connection problems you have are unique; I’ve not encountered anyone else with them. CarPlay works great. A frunk would make who feel better? I never felt I was missing one, and definitely haven’t thought about it once. The media nitpicks on all these cars, but it’s not how owners feel. The reality is that this is the best larger sized EV for the money, hands down.

    We have had an ID.4 since June 2021 and we are very happy with it. The MAIN problem is one you did not mention. The scheduled charging feature has never worked. It is supposed to be fixed in a future OTA but that has yet to happen.

    Scheduled Charging is very important in some electrical fare plans where the price of electricity varies a lot between peak-time and off-peak time.

    The new 2023 ID.4s supposedly have the fix for this problem but us early adopters are still awaiting.
