Don't you read your post's ..? l.o.l....
Personally, I prefer the Z71's "types" .. As I posted you back a few days ago, 00's with all they toys ..and now with the "ultra low mileage package"- you are lookin' to spend "around" $25.
What type of price range are you trying to achieve ?
Terry.
I was really out looking for a 2001 Altima GXE. Found one with 20K, rental usage. Found a green and a white one, sticker on window says $15,999 special sale tag for $12,9. Says he will go down to $12.5 no less. What is a good cash offer? In Mil Wis.
BTW, I work in NJ live in Wis, long commute. Either place better to buy a altima? My guess is that a used car may have slightly less wear and tear (if both are equal types of returns, rental v rental, lease v lease) in WI due to types of traffic and roads in NJ.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom guys. i wish there was stuff like this out for buying a home and other stuff. And I keep reading because its really interesting.
It's a XLE, it has the slider and all the stuff -- the color is a little weak and the miles are a little stiff --
Soooo, on a trade you are lookin' "in and around" $16 ...
Good luck ...
Terry.
1997 Chevrolet Silverado Z-71. This beautiful, bright RED truck has only 54K miles on it's 5.7L Vortec engine. It has the 3rd door, am/fm Stereo/CD/cass, 60/40 split bench front seat, seating for 6, professional tint on door windows to match factory tint on rear windows, sliding rear window, bedliner, chrome bumpers, all power, ventshades on front windows, and a few billet acessories. It has a new K&N air filter, and this truck runs perfect. This is a great running and great sounding truck. It has Chrome nerf bars, 3" dual chrome ehxaust, great paint and a nice grey leather interior. This truck has been garage kept and has not had any body repairs that I know of. I bought it in Sept. 1998 with 28K miles. An elderly man had it before me, and it has always been well taken care of. It get's all of its regular maintenance. I have almost all of my receipts from oil changes. It has a nearly new battery. It has brand new 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler M/T's on a set of rare custom 16" wheels. The wheels cost $325/each and I have one for the spare that is not mounted. It is available with factory wheels if so desired, I don't see why anyone would not want it to look this good. This is one of the sharpest 97 Z-71's around. A real head turner. I hate to get rid of it, but we have a baby on the way and my wife says I must get an SUV. Please e-mail for more pictures and any questions you may have. Thanks for looking and I hope this is exactly what you have been looking for.
I can't quite figure out what this is -- How high does it sit off the ground ..? Who put the tires on ..? Did they use a Laser pad ..? How much does this person weigh ..?
L ..O .. L ...... :-)
Ha..! Gotcha ..!
It sounds like a "baby doll" --- clean little rig .. ain't it ..?
Hmmmmm, 54 klicks, no miles, chromes, vent's, Nerfs, sounds like he has "fine toothed it" --- $17,500 Huh ..?
If it's just flat dead puuurffect all the way around -- inside and out, this buggy would do a strong $15+ at the block (this is a 4WD, right..?), so he's not out of line on the price ...
Try $16,500 .. but don't loose it ..!
Terry.
Thanks,
Billy
Hope this helps,
Ed

I'd like to find out what is a reasonable trade-in value for my '92 Accord LX, with 145,000 miles in the Southern California area. Exterior- charcoal/black, some nicks, some dings, one headlight with corner broken, other headlight chipped, hit once on drivers side (door was repaired and now unable to tell there was an accident). Interior- working air conditioner/heater/radio/cruise control, adjustable steering wheel, some fraying of the fabric rear seat and the corner and one door. Still drives pretty well. What would the dealer likely do with such a car (use for parts or sell)? If I donated it, would they be able to use it?
Need values for two vehicles:
#1 is a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
Wagon, 5-spd
Silver
13K miles
Has had a turbo replaced but got the dealer to throw in a 100K/6 yr extended warranty afterward.
No accidents, paintwork or abuse.
MSRP was $25200 new.
#2 is a 1992 Acura Integra GS-R
5-spd
Green
120K miles
Nice shape and runs great, all maintenance up to date and documented.
Both in WI.
Thanks!
I have a 99 RX300 with 78K miles on it (I live in Cincinnati, if that matters). It has pretty much all the options, is clean, no accidents, etc, and I have almost all the service records. Edmunds and NADA calculate a trade in value of about $22.5k. The "Black Book" from the Car Point site shows a value of about $20.5K. Kelley shows a trade in value of $18.5k.
The dealer, after 2 days of calling around, said it was worth no more than $15k. I told him that I would pass on the new car at this time.
Now, maybe the trade really is worth only $15k, but my question, then, is with such an enormous variation in guidance on trade values, how is anyone supposed to make a reasonable decision in advance on what to do? I can certainly understand some variation (say +/- 10%), but the values I see here vary by about 40%!
Any thoughts?
Mike
Thanks for advice/help
My GS-R is clean and the only aftermarket gear it has is a K&N cone filter. I have the original airbox.
If you have interest, why not shoot me an email... it's in my profile.
This is a $1K car on trade... Honestly it sounds pretty rough. It would be a "straight to the auction" car for me.
Here in FL due to the export market it might do more, but you may want to try goingto the local U-Pull-it if you're up for it, grabbing $100-200 worth of lenses, cleaning it up and putting it in the paper for $2,500 and grabbing $2,000..
Bill
Looks like a $20K or so trade where I sit... Retail? I'd ask $23,500 and grab like.. $22,500 or so.
The Integra? Looks like $3,000ish on trade, $4,995 in the paper, grab $4,500.
Hope this helps!
Bill
That is not even remotely close.
Sorry man
Wait, 2WD? 4WD? Color?
Thanks!
Bill
Syed is a real sweetheart. Great guy.
Now, take care of him on the Survey! Jimmy Bryan is a real jerk... they dont get good ones, they fine the salespeople!
Enjoy the new ES!
Bill
If the car is super nice...
$5,500-6K trade-in.
So if you were to sell it privately, I'd ask $8,950 and take $8,000...
Bill
$5,500-6K I think if its' super nice..
Bill
$2,200-2,400 if its nice and clean..
Bill
Its lika a $2,000 van. Running. So even a used engine has to be $1,200 installed...
I'd consider donating it and taking the write-off.
Bill
$6K down here. But in Mooseville? Who knows
Yes. MAJOR MAJOR Overallowance. So if they're at like $5K over sticker on a new Camry she is still getting a good deal lol.
Bill
All help greatly appreciated
$9,500-10K is where it ought to be.
Bill
You guys have shovels up there?
45K? Nice. Pearl White? Nice. Mint condition? Nice.
$26,500 is not cheap. I think this is a $23K wholesale piece on a push.. so $25,500 is closer to reality.
Bill
If a consumer looks at the NADA books, it lists 3 numbers - something to the effect of retail, trade in, and loan. I kind of assumed that the loan value was roughly wholesale, or the value a consumer would get on their trade. Retail - pretty straight forward meaning. But what does the trade in value mean? Is it somehow trying to build in a typical new car discount that could be shown as an over allowance on the trade? I have never gotten a new car at a greatly discounted price and the NADA trade in price on my vehicle. What am I missing?
$7,500ish on a trade.
Bill
Examples:
I have 2 nice Jags and a Nice Mercedes that I can all sell for NADA trade-in and make big whacks on. I am advertisign them for all less than NADA trade.
Where they come up with those ##s is beyond me.
I have heard that it comes from "allowances" downloaded from dealership computers. But I am not sure I believe even that.
Point is, if ya have to be shown NADA trade-in.. you're probably going to be shown a substantial Overallowance.
If I HAD to use a Book its Black Book, but even that gets ya in trouble..
Bill
If nothing else, they add ZIP to the car's future wholesale value (See Z71 above...)
Bill
You sure its gotta third seat? GO look... OK. Good it does. Because if it didnt I'd be closeto $1K back here.
$14,500-15K on trade.
