These guys went through a lot of trouble trying to solve interior panel rattles, unfortunatly, they didn't fix either of them. The window rattle isn't a huge deal cause all I do is tap the window down button to take the pressure off the seal to stop it.
The glove box is scheduled to be replaced anyways cause when I took delivery, there was a big scratch across the front. The dealer said they would replace that at a later date before I signed the papers. Hopefully that will fix the rattle.
I was told the power seats operated just fine. Lately it hasn't been as choppy and it may have been just breaking in. The door hinges were part of maintainence schedule A anyways, so that was taken care of.
I was a little scared bringing my car in for minor problems. When I went through this with my Pontiac 2 years ago, the service department was very rude and I hated having to deal with them. This Honda service department was beyond pleasent and tried very hard, from what I saw, to please a picky customer. I look forward to doing more business with them.
On a side note: I drove a 2001 Ford Taurus while my car was in the shop....man that really makes you appriciate all the accord has to offer!
(a) the little center cubbyhole door (the one you push down on to release... you know the one) rattles based on fit n finish. No solution yet that I have found, but opening the door stops the rattle.
(b) there is apparently a small metal bar of some sort just to the driver's right of the glovebox, between it and the door (but behind the dash plastic) that my local service center says they have fixed a few times and gets rid of the customer "dashboard rattle" complaint. I have not yet had this fixed, as the service center is constantly booked solid (2 week advance for an oil change!).
Neither rattle is constant, and seems to be more road condition/temperature dependent.

A few days after I got my new 4-cyl I hit the local turnpike in KS where there's a long flat straightaway and got the car easily up to 140. Didn't want to go any faster, but the car did it. Oh, and my Garmin Streetpilot GPS recorded it for me.

Another thing I dont understand is the rear defroster. The website states that there is a timer, but the defroster on my sedan nevers goes off, anyone else notice this. Whats going on with that?
That's how some other cars I've had worked out anyway. Not really sure as I don't use it that often except in the winter.
What bothered me more in my '02 coupe was the fact that every time someone did release the passenger seat was returned it didn't assume the position it was in before being released. That was truly annoying.
It looks like a prank to me-she has a cute 18 yo daughter. Is anyone aware of a device that would leave this type of residue.

Earlier this week I drove an Audi A4 Avant. Decent car, but was SO surprised at the things that were broken on it. Drove OK, not exceptional.
Today I took my car in for an oil change and stopped to drive a Passat. Liked it a lot, drove well, and quiet.
The surprise was the LX V6 sedan I drove. The quality was head and shoulders above the Audi. The material that was used on the inside was far superior to the Audi, and the tactile aspect of the switchgear was even better than the Passat. The driving experience was the same. Smooth, quiet, fast, and I know what others have said about the Accord's handling, but I found it to be very good. It drove better by far than the Audi or the VW.
I will be very happy with the Accord.
I bought Maguire's wheel cleaner, but it says do not use on unpolished aluminum wheels. would this not be good for my 03 honda ex-v6 wheels?

However, regarding which of the two will be more rewarding to own and drive depends on your personal definition of 'rewarding'. I drive Accord and will get another over Camry because Accord is more rewarding car to drive (to me). The Camry feels more like a bouncing box to me. I've never been a fan of cars that isolate the driver too much and appear to float over bumps instead of having the chassis buttoned down.
And then, you will find people who will call Accord's ride stiff compared to Camry something they might not like.
Depending on which of the two fits your needs, neither is going to disappoint you. This is not unlike picking the firmness of a mattress. Some like it soft (Camry), some firm (a typical sport sedan), and some with firmness and a softer pillowtop (Accord).
Not having a trip computer is one thing I have really missed on the new car. I bought it mainly for its power advantage over Camry on regular gas and its 5 speed auto.

My accord has a trip computer on the odometer, with two individual trip (A+B) odometers. Is that what you are talking about, or are you talking about a feature in the navi that shows you mpg over a period of time?
I always check my mileage with the trip odo's and have gotten 38 on strictly highway driving when at 4,000 miles.

1. If I sell it myself, what's the best listing service?
2. If I sell it to a private party, do I have to pay any tax for it?
3. What paper work do I have to do, other than sign the title and give it to the buyer?
BTW, it's a 4dr LX sedan, 5speed stick shift, 57000 miles, in very good condition. The dealships only offers $4500, which I think is too low.
Dealerships will ALWAYS offer a low tradein price compared to what you can get by selling a car privately. You will also find that either figure will be lower for a typical 4-door sedan, when it is equipped with a limited appeal feature such as a manual transmission. That's just a harder-to-sell type of car since abot 90% of new family sedans are purchased with automatics.
1. If you sell it yourself, the best bet is advertising in your local newspaper or placing prominent signs in the windows and parking the vehicle in high traffic locations such as near shopping mall entrances. You can also try websites such as cars.com or autotrader.com.

The accord and accura model (TSX?) that shares its body both look like
they hit a loading dock going backwards at 30mph and smashed in the
back end and distorted the tailights. The Camry is a small step better IMO.
Earlier accord looked like a car designed for its purpose.
