Update: The dealership's customer relations manager happened to call to see how our shopping experience was and I told her that it was terrible and explained why. She looked into the matter and got back to me, apologetically explaining that it seems there was some sort of glitch in their computer system yesterday and the numbers were off; that the quote should have been $ 1,376/mo. on the 36/12 lease; not $ 2,676/mo. I would like to believe it was this innocent but neither a salesperson or the manager realized there was something off in those numbers; even when we questioned the accuracy? The $ 1,376/mo. hardly seems like a great deal either, even though it's at least in the realm of sanity.
