I have a 03 Yukon SLT 5.3 4x4 with about 164000 and a overheating problem that's I think a little different. Here for a while it has been showing up more and more. I had it scanned and it came back the temp sensor so I change it and the problem stays the same. I changed it twice and even the thermostat and it still SHOWS on the dash that it's overheating and the gauge is pegged to the right You can start it from cold and drive 3 blocks and it comes up. I put new fluid in and the old looked good. The oil is good and no milky on the stick and no steam out the tail pipe. Sometimes it does clear up while driving and run normal but not for long. The dash and gauge jump from normal to overheating (reduced power) within seconds and back and forth. I'm looking at the ECM as being the problem. Also the change oil comes up so I reset it and after about 3 or 4 starts it comes back on. I know it's not overheated but something is triggering the system. Thank's to anyone and everyone.
