Ok - So i have been keeping up with recalls and see that over 1MM chevy cars/ suvs have been recalled for ignition problem - car shuts off which is what mine is doing but then starts up again. I contacted my dealership last week to see if they would replace the $4 part just in case this is part of the problem with my suburban. The service manager said his "district rep" from GM said NO. Under no circumstances would they do this. How do they know it is not related??? If over 1MM other GM vehicles have this problem, why not all of them> and it's a $4 fix. Are they insane. My SUV is still consuming oil. I have it checked at my local body shop every 500 miles or so to be sure the engine is not ruined. I now have 72,000 miles on it and am babying it along. I got absolutely NO WHERE with the dealership. Will never buy GM again ... it's a shame because I am a Detroit girl. Wish i had my Land Cruiser back.
