Bradford pears are bad news. Not only for their short lifespans and splitting, but the latest varieties sold reproduce into woodlands and crowd out native trees. To be avoided 100%. (View Post)4 -

Same here, but with cottonwood trees. At a certain age they start to drop branches, and they can be 10" or more in diameter, with no warning and almost no sound, no wind required. Very dangerous. (View Post)1 -
