and while dad may be getting a good night's sleep still I doubt mom has had one for awhile !
In the past week I am having trouble getting in frequently I get the page is unavailable or when I do get in it takes forever.
It is also taking a long time to scroll from thread to thread, the problem is not my server as Edmunds is the only site I am experiencing this problem with.
Cheers Pat.
-Colin

Did I miss any?
DaveM: Actually, I should have known better than to fall for troll bait. Any how, anyone else see the irony in this? I was the one that pointed out the recall she overlooked.
I will miss the chat tonight, because we're seeing Ellen DeGeneres live on stage at GWU. On the day I'm featured on the Town Hall home page, which specifically mentions my participation in the chats!
Any how, I hear there's a Forester Owners Meet at the show (inside joke, you guys get it?).

Juice - get a count of how many new/old Foresters at the show tonight! ;-)

Juice- new gasket on the way; my shop will be putting it on Sat. or early next week.
Will try to make the chat tonight and hopefully the auto show tomorrow afternoon.

1st question: Was juice man enough to drive his Forester to the owner's convention?
2) A little discussion on going to the show tomorrow
lark6: DaveM, I'm taking the 10:04 from Hamilton, hope to see you there.
dcm61: you'll be the short bald guy with the black Forester, right?
lark6: Yeah
lark6: with a hat
3) Next topic up for discussion.
Loosh going over his list of future mods with Pat:
lucien2: Maybe do the WRK brake upgrade.
dcm61: my '03 OB came with "WRX" brakes.
lucien2: Add the LSD from a RS or OB.
dcm61: my '03 OB came with LSD.
lucien2: Wish it was a wagon.
dcm61: my '03 OB is a wagon.
** lucien2 has left the chat area **
dcm61: i guess loosh can't take it anymore.
a few moments pass
** lucien2 has joined the chat **
lucien2: lost connection for dramatic affect.
dcm61: it's bed time.
lucien2: i have a bed!
dcm61: do you have heated seats?
lucien2: my bed is heated.
And a good time was had by all!
DaveM
Sounds like I missed a funny chat! "My bed is heated" -- LOL Loosh!
Ken
Getting close now. :-)

Been following your Subaru discussions for awhile and have decided to start chirping in as I begin my search for a new Sub (check out my post on Legacy discussion). Have loved my '92 Legacy L (FWD). Bought it used 8 years age and now have 140,000 miles on it and have only had to perform general maintenance on it. What a fantasic car it has been!! (Will be selling it to my sister-in-law soon)
However, now I am married, with a dog and baby on the way. Starting to research for car that will address our needs best, and will finally purchase my first brand new car in the fall. Been waiting my whole life for the experience of buying a new car. Lets hope its not a Lemon. Interested in wagons, not a fan of Mini-vans. I have enjoyed your previous discussions and look forward to participating and sharing my Subaru experiences with you all.
Thanks,
Barkley
Welcome! You've come to the right place!

From The Car Connection http://www.thecarconnection.com/index.asp?article=5952:
SUBARU ON SPEED
Lifting some of the high-performance hardware from its tire-spinning STi sedan, Subaru took the wraps off the third in its Baja crossover series. The Baja Turbo is, like the two earlier versions, a hybrid sedan and pickup. But in this case, it gets a 210-horsepower, turbocharged engine that boosts power by more than 40 percent over the base crossover. To make those numbers, the Turbo incorporates such STi innovations as lightweight, sodium-filled exhaust valves and a semi-closed deck cylinder head. It also adds a functional hood scoop and 16-inch wheels and tires. There are two alternative all-wheel-drive systems, depending on whether a buyer opts for the five-speed manual or four-speed sportshift transmission. Subaru officials noted that all Baja models will get an extra inch of ground clearance – bringing the figure to 8.4 inches – for 2004.
I wish they (SOA) would make up their mind - is it 'direct-control' or 'sportshift'? *shrug*
-Brian
Interesting link. Actually, Sportshift is what you already see in the Legacy GT. It's Subaru's version of tiptronic. The Direct-Control is the new version of the 4EAT that will be available on the Forester XT. I don't believe this version will allow the user to up/downshift a la tiptronic.
