i have a 1990 corolla dx and id like to change rear drums for disc brakes

Im into beefing up my corolla and id like to know if anyone can tell me how to change my 4 door 1990 corolla dx sedan's rear drum brakes to disc ones, preferable how to do it myself kuz thats the kind of guy i am. This car is my baby and i pamper it alot and also am in search to boost its 102 hp its 4A-FE engine makes with as less money as possible....also the weird thing is i cant seem to find a company that makes a turbocharger for my specific corolla =(

    hey i have a 91 corolla dx with a 4A-FE and looking to the same as u as for the turbo try turbo specialities superior turbo kits .com they have it

    Well I commend you for realizing that brakes are as important as engine mods and are part of the equation; however, with 102 HP, if you turbocharge it, you might get up to maybe 140 or so (using a safe boost level), and for that type of power, your rear drum brakes should be okay just as they are. It's the front brakes you might want to beef up with better rotors and pads. I really don't think you need to worry about the expensive conversion to rear disks at this point in your plans.

    google "KVR Peformance" for pads and rotors. There are others of course.
