Yeah, basically I figure the end of this month should be a good time - it's the end of the month, quarter, and first half, plus the possibility of 4th of July sales starting early. Also, the month ends mid-week so if they haven't made their numbers tby the 27th they'll be worried, because store traffic will be low on the weekdays prior to month end.

I just purchased a silver pearl w/ nav and res for 32,864 w/ 8 miles on it + factory Honda sensors intalled included in the price. I would check around if i were you. Who knows how hard those 1000 miles were driven.

I submitted a request through autobytel and ultimately they connected me with a dealer who gave me the lowest price. I'm in the LA area, so perhaps there are more cars available, but several dealers said they would not go below $34,000 for the same car. Hang in there. If the dealer has a car on the lot that you want, they're more willing to deal.

    Good Luck.

I bought mine at Herb Chambers Honda in Boston. I also talked with sale managers at Weymouth, Boch, and Bernardi. Weymouth is about $400 below invoice. Boch and Bernardi are a little higher. I went to Herb Chambers because they advertised on Herald ($4500 off MSRP for EX-L RES).

After e-mailing 20 dealers within about 300 miles of the Nashville area looking for a specific color combination (black/tan) found Honda in Clarksville, TN. $29,912 including destination. Overall, an excellent buying experience--almost enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Don't waste your time at Daryl Waltrip in Franklin, TN. They told me they sell most of their Odysseys at sticker price (not to mention the $1500 they charge for floor mats and pinstriping that get tacked on before they even hit the lot) and would not even try to match the Clarksville dealership.

Sure - though it's kind of fuzzy since we traded in our 02 trailblazer.
Total cash sales price incl tax, doc fee (50$) = $31997
Plus there was approx 125$ for Registration & Title.

Others on this board have gotten a lower price in their areas. I called several dealers after we got this negotiated and they said it was a good deal, take it or just didn't call me back.

They gave us 1500 more than anyone else was willing to give us on the trailblazer, so that also improves our satisfaction with the final numbers, KWIM?

As I said before, I can't recommend this dealership enough. Their internet department is kind of weak, but this is a smaller dealership. I did get close enough on my numbers via email to be willing to drive out there. And it was a very good experience.

I also spoke with a dealer in Waco, but they seemed to be sticker.
    Good luck!!

I just bought Odyssey EXL-DVD yesterday at Herb Chambers in Burlington for 29500 plus TTL and Doc. But they did under value my trade-in. They did not offer any thing else for me to purchase other than the van we test drove.
    It is an ok experience.

Is there a website that people are using to collect fax numbers for dealers in a specific region? I want to fax my offer to 20 or so dealers in the Maryland area but can't seem to find a listing of fax numbers. Thanks,

We are about to take the plunge in to a Minivan land  as our number of kids are expanding. I've checked on Edmunds and various other sites and the cheapest I think I can get a 2005 Oddy (RES and NAV) is about $31,000.

Does anyone in the New Orleans/Covington/Slidell/SW Mississippe area know of anything else? Something cheaper? Or can you give me advise on how to get the lowest prices? I would greatly appreciate it!

I finally took the plunge and bought the EX-L R&N. I live in chicago and paid 32,363 and that includes destination but excludes tax, plates and other fees.If someone wants to know the dealer name and person I spoke too just e-mail me. :)

Have you ever considered a different brand? It apprears Honda dealers are not interested in giving good deal on their vans. I guess they don't have to in order to move product.

There are some tremendous deal to be had.....
  • pho4upho4u Member Posts: 3
If you can get this at $31,000 that is about $300 below invoice. We got our van through Superior Honda EXL-Res about $500 over invoice

To everyone looking to buy an Odyssey in the Twin cities...save your self a bunch of time and don't even bother with these dealers. Email the internet manager at Honda Motorwerks in La Crosse, WI. He will shoot you straight and beat everyone else's price the first time. It's a little bit of a drive from the twin cities, but well worth it when you figure all the money and time you save by not playing games with the other MN dealers. Please see post #9385 for our experience.

I am in no way affiliated with this dealer just very happy with the way they treated me and would like to send some business their way. I did all of the homework a few months ago so that you don't have to. Others after me did the same comparison and ended up coming to the same conclusion. I have yet to hear of a dealer in the MN area that can beat Honda Motorwerks.

Good luck! You will love your van...we do!

I agree - avoid the Twin Cities. I live in South Dakota and have been in the market for an EX for a couple of months. Minneapolis and Omaha weren't even competitive -- around 27500 for the EX. My local dealer initially offered the van at 26300 - but then supply tightened and the price went up over 27000.

I bought this weekend in Chicago, which was substantially lower than any other "nearby" market. Ended up at Community Honda of Orland Park. I highly recommend the internet department. Paid 25888 - including destination, of course. No problems, no add-ons, no gimmicks. Got a few quotes in Chicago at 25800 - but not in the colors I wanted. Only problem I had during the whole process was with Napelton Honda in Oak Lawn - they backed out of a price after taking my deposit (sent me a purchase agreement with accessories and destination added onto the price - and no total amount filled in).

I am planning to buy an Odyssey in Bay Area. Besides the price, I am also willing to know the APR that people are getting from Honda, since 1% APR = 800$ for five years.

    Gary-

Just had a seamless purchase through Sierra Honda's (Monrovia CA) Internet Sales Dept on an EXL RES. The salesperson just said that he would beat anyone's price by $100.00. All I had to do was bring in a written offer (which I got from Rock Honda (Fontana) through their internet Dept for $29,886.00 On top of that, I told him that I could purchase the Pohanka Honda of Salisbury MD's 7/100,000 for $1069.00. He couldn't match that, but did sell it to me for $1,140.00. They also threw in four free oil changes. The deal took about an hour and a half. No pressures to purchase anything else, even finance was great. :)

    Good Luck. Darren

I am in a very difficult situation. i asked the quotes for EXL from about 60 dealers in the radius of 120 miles from where i live . i mentioned in my email that i live in xxx city and would like to do paperwork through fax and please send me ur firm quotes...
i got the quotes only from the local dealers and none from the dealers who were little far...
is this normal trend that the dealers which are far don't take the quote request seriously..
in my case i was expecting quotes from chicago dealers
    which i didnt get....
should i wait for another day or call them to see if they are interested to sell anything......
    Any suggestion is appreciated...

since we don't allow info about specific salespeople to be shared in the Forums, we don't allow e-mail requests either. Plus, posting your address on a public message board can expose you to tons more spam.

I am also looking for EX-L with RES and Navi in NJ but the lowest quote I received was for $32795. Also one of the dealers I spoke to said that Honda stopped making Odysseys with the Navi option for the year. Has anyone heard of this? :confuse: Are they preparing for the 06 production line?

Paid 30,700 for EXL-RES. Slate Green. loving it! Ken Garff Honda of Orem UT. I have seen better prices on here but for the area, i feel pretty good. Thanks for all the posts on all the boards here. :D
  • baranisbaranis Member Posts: 9
Sorry - it was actually $31,900 which is closer to what you paid. I'm going through Premier Honda in N.O. East. How was dealing with Superior?
  • yvqkckyvqkck Member Posts: 9
Has anyone purchased an EX-L no RES or NAV in this area??

The local dealer here has one with a few options for $32696 MSRP and the sale price of $28196, this of course will be plus tax and title. Just looking to see what others have paid for a similar vehicle.

We are looking to buy a 2005 Odyssey, EXL-RES & Navigation. The best we can seem to find in this area is $34,000. I am shocked when I read the prices elsewhere are thousands cheaper it seems. Also, in this area, we have to buy the car before it ever gets to the dealer or else we won't get one at all.
Has anyone in this area had luck at a particular dealer and gotten what they feel, given the market here, is a fair price?
    Thanks!
  • anu_shrianu_shri Member Posts: 13
Are u talking about the dealer in MA, who is offering $4500 off MSRP.
If yes then go for it its very good deal.i also thought about that but they didnt have my color.although i am in MO my family is in north east.i thought it would be family get together and car buying, but i got a very good deal here itself ....

I had contacted a few dealers for an EX (without leather) quote. One gave me a great price. today I went to buy the car. While I was there signing paperwork, I noticed the MSRP on the window sticker of the car was $27,995, not the one I saw on the Honda's website and elsewhere, $28,195.

Why was that? I always thought there is only one EX (without leather). Did I buy a lower class of EX? Did the dealer take advantage of me?

    Thanks!

Hi, I got some quotes for Odyssey EX no leather in NY that equalled the invoice. Does anyone have an opinion or better yet - information if it makes sense to buy now at about the invoice price or may be wait for July? Would July 4th holidays come with some bigger incentives? Thanks.
  • john_doejohn_doe Member Posts: 5
if you are paying MSRP, the one that's $200 more or less then you are already overpaying and probably a lot. Yes, dealer took advantage of you. They are selling your model at invoice right now

    Hi,
    I'm in the NJ Area.
I have a quote for an Odyssey EX-L at invoice ($27,434) + dest fee. Plus all the other fees (taxes, title, registration etc...). Is this a good price? Has anybody else done better?

I got several qoutes from several dealer the best deal for an exl with navi and res i got was 31864 + tax and processing fee+ tags and he mentioned me that the van will be in by week of 26th june and the color i wanted he ask me to pay $200 deposit so he can reserve it for me and when the van comes in he will call me, Is that safe to do it??? are they really going to give me the price they qouted on online or he was just bluffing!!! dealer even charged my credit card for 200.

had any one has similar experience wanted to share their opinion????
  • tpantpan Member Posts: 8
I paid $24,995, way below MSRP. My question was, why the MSRP on my window sticker is lower than the one I saw elsewhere. Does that indicate I brought a lower class of EX?
  • keyur75keyur75 Member Posts: 14
go to open road or acdemy honda
  • keyur75keyur75 Member Posts: 14
One of the dealers is selling EX models for $167 below invoice, in NJ area. But only few colors available.

One dealer is offering me BELOW invoice price for EXL which is unsual.
but he is insisting that he dosent have the car and will get it from other dealer, but dont know how much time this will take.
He is also sayingThe car will have atleast 300 miles as he will drive the car from the nearby city...
    asking for 500$ deposit.

Great to find another LA honda member! I have purchased four Hondas in the past six years. Team honda (baton rouge) seems to be very competitive on price. When I purchased my ody this year I requested quotes from across the state. I found that Team Honda in Baton Rouge and Holmes Honda in Shreveport were the only ones willing to bargain. In fact, most of the other LA dealers wanted sticker. Since we now live in Alexandria, all of the dealers were in driving distance. Depending on what part of new orleans, Shreveport would be about a five hour drive. If you go this direction, make an overnight trip. Your kids would love the sci-port museum and the Louisiana boardwalk. Hope this helps. Doug
  • john_doejohn_doe Member Posts: 5
then you paid descent price I guess, sorry. As far as I know, the Odyssey comes with all standard featured for every trim style, so if you got an EX no leather then every EX no leather is the same from the manufacturer, that's the beauty about Odyssey, the dealer can't really screw you on options. So, the sticker price you saw may have been a typo or possible MSRP may vary based on car color or may be it had all season mats included or something of the sort but all options ARE standard, don'r worry.
  • john_doejohn_doe Member Posts: 5
I am actually looking for the same model, can you post what dealer you got that price from, I got quotes for $300-$500 more. Thanks a lot.

Has anyone purchased an Odyssey with the cassette player feature? If so, how much extra did you pay and did it affect the availability date of your model or was it installed by the dealer?

I find a cassette deck a must, as I use it with a cassette adapter kit to hook up to my mp3 player. It sounds much better than using a device that transmits over FM.
  • looking4exllooking4exl Member Posts: 11
One dealer in Alexandria emailed that they are doing employee pricing. It just said the pricing is from 21,499 (or something close to that) for Odysseys. Do you think the employee pricing thing is legit? Anyone know what it is? I emailed back a request for the price on an EXL. We'll see.

I am buying from a local dealer in New Jersey. Another one could match it but not any better. The third one would sell for near $200 more. If you are in this area let me know and I will post them all here.
