I am looking to buy an 07 Odyssey EX-L w/ DVD before the current financing deal runs out on 09/04. What should I expect to pay and what successes has anyone had out there. I would prefer to set up a deal before I go to the dealership, but this is not a requirement. I live in San Diego but would be willing to drive a bit if necessary.
Yes. We got the 4.9% financing because we did a longer loan. The financing and the sale were done separately. There were no stipulations on our deal at all.
Just got an email from Suburban Honda in Farmington Hills
$2,000 Customer Cash Just Announced on 2007 Honda Odysseys!
You can use your customer cash on top of any quote we have previously given you during the month of August! This is the deal you have been waiting for! :shades:
I was just wondering if anyone on here has done a trade in when they bought their ody? Do you let the dealer know you will be trading when you email them for price quotes right at the beginning? Please advise
Can anyone confirm this? I called Honda directly and they were not able to tell me whether there was a customer cash incentive.
I've already negotiated a price on a EX-L, but have purchased it yet. Will I essentially be able to ask for an additional $2000 off, or does Honda send a check directly to the buyer later?
Are the dealers passing that $2000 directly to the customer ? Right now, the best I am getting is $1550 out of that $2000. Are you able to get the whole $2000 ?
Seems like I am getting the entire $2000. Just started emailing yesterday and today and Brighton Honda (MI) deducted $2000 from the price they offered yesterday.
The price would be $26,223.00 plus documentation fee of $99.00, 6% tax of $1,579.32 and plate fees.
I currently have Black, Red and Silver available for immediate delivery. If you are interested in either of these colors I will take an additional $100 off the price of the vehicle.
So about 27800 OTD for EXL
This is first time Ive done this internet pricing and phone calls. Its actually kinda fun :shades:
Seems like I am getting the $2000 too. If everything goes well, I plan to get the car this weekend!
I am in south Florida.
The price would be $26300 (rounded) plus TTL.
But it seems that only some dealers are willing to pass the incentives. And only after they see that you've got competitive offers and show commitment to buy. Try sherwood Honda...
Is this going to be one of those unadvertised incentives? I called Suburban Honda myself and they denied having this $2000 incentive. That's on top of calling Honda directly.
It's very annoying if there is an incentive and the dealer withholds that information. Even if I am fairly certain there is a $2000 incentive, the dealer can deny it. The problem I have now is that I have already been negotiating, and it's hard to suddenly drop my offer $2000.
I got the email directly from Honda Suburban this morning. Im not financing so maybe that has something to do with it. Ill email you the message I got if you like.
Can you please fwd your em from Suburban asap? I am headed to the dealer in my area (Ft Wayne, IN) for final negotiations, and if he does not offer the 2k incentive, I will drive to MI tomorrow to get it done. em is h.ide@homeruntransactions.com
Has anyone found a good price in the vicinity of Roanoke,VA? I'm looking either for an EX or EXL w/ RES. The best price on an EX is @ Hokie Honda $26,411 and around $ 30,000 for the EXL w/ RES. I live about 5min. from another Honda dealship and the want $ 27,650 for the EX and don't want to deal at all. I would love to find a good deal somewhere !
Amountee- Thanks for the info on the $2000 incentive.
I met tonight with the sales rep I had been talking to. I live in Ft Wayne and the Honda dealer here is very tough to crack, not one to go to low etc. I brought in the incentive em and he knew nothing of it, after a back and forth game we came to just under invoice + the 2K incentive. He brought it to his manager who did say there was a 2k incentive, apparently they did not tell the sales reps... I think had I gone to MI I could have gotten a little better of a deal, maybe an additional 1k off. We are getting the EX-L with RES and NAV along with the all weather pkg, pinstriping(already on there), 3rd row shades, extra headphones. Silver. I have to sign off final docs in the am, and drive it away.
BTW- We are trading in a 2004 Toyota Sienna EX on this one for those of you comparing the 2 models. We had it for 4 years, bought it right after the new redesign. It has been a very nice van for us, a few hiccups...the heated seats heating coils broke in both seats, CD player died twice, the alignment was never quite right no matter how many times we had it aligned, and it needed a new set of tires every 23k miles. The truth, even with all of these hiccups we loved the van. The ride is as nice as our Lexus, very spacious, I hope we don't regret not buying another Sienna. Anyone else come into the Ody from the Sienna?
Thanks to everyone on here, it was a wealth of info! If anyone else is looking near Fort Wayne, IN let me know and I will put you in touch with our Sales Guy.
first, I have confirmation from one dealer that there is a $2000 factory-dealer incentive on the Odyssey. Second, the following is the best quote I've gotten- is this even possible???
They say that this price is based on the following calculation:
invoice (including destination) 32,187 - 697.90 (holdback) - 2000 incentive - 200 internet discount . How is this possible- will they really take $200 below their own cost??? :confuse:
it's a great quote, but i worry it is just to get me in the door and will fall apart when I get there...
I live in Farmington hills,MI and I have been looking to buy a ODY EX-L with RES for the last one month or so. I have got a deal from the local dealer. Do you think is it the right price to get into this deal?
A local dealer in MD just confirmed that the $2000 incentive is available. He said he would lower his previous quote by that much. Finally my procrastination has paid off! I am buying tommorrow after 2 months of waiting.
Thanks to all for sharing the information. This forum helped me to negotaite for a New Odyssey which I bought Yesterday. I bought 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L. Price paid =26,000 + TTL OTD price was = 28574 (including tax + DMV fees etc)
Yes, I have just purchased an EX-L for 26200+TTL = 274767 OTD. It also includes dealer pre-installed mudguards, splashguard and an appearance package worth $599(this number is based on dealer) for free. I drove to a Northern Virginia dealer. I think the drive was worth it. The whole process was very smooth. I am very happy. Neither AutoPark Honda or other NC dealers came close to it. Concord Honda was only 250 above it. I could have also bought there. If anyone is interested, I can give the name/e-mail of the salesman that I worked with.
My opinion is now the deals for Odyssey are so good that they will be cleaned up rather quickly. So, I urge you buy soon. So, today I hurried up and pulled the trigger.
I live about 15 miles from Concord NC. I am just starting my search for an Odyssey EX-L. I would appreciate the name of the salesperson you worked with at Honda of Concord. Please contact me at jonathan_linker@hotmail.com
I also live in N. Va and am interested in purchasing an Odyssey. Could you also please send me the name of the dealer and representative that you worked with. Many thanks.
I purchased my ex-l last week Friday. Now I'm really disgusted that I didn't wait longer in order to get the $2000 incentive. Does anyone know if this incentive is being offered across the country or just certain states?

Thanks
that the best one i got back so far...
some will ask for phone numbers and other info but i just reply with the request of the price.
last quote was $31000 incl dest but + TTL.

EX 24584 +TTL
EXL 26753 +TTL,
I have not talked anything about financing.
That said, why should it be hard to drop your offer by 2K? It's one way to find out REAL quick whether the incentive is available in your area.

I will post to all tonight the outcome....
Thanks!
Have you purchased yet? I'm going to try to work with Crown Honda and Auto Park Honda for just a plain EX.
Thanks
