It's the best price I've gotten so far. My goal is to get it for $30K even OTD. We'll see ....
MSRP = $36,445
Invoice = $33,378
*Your Price = $30,878
P.S. Remember, all prices include Destination Charge, vehicles are subject to availability, price expires in 72 hours, and price excludes any applicable taxes, fees, or other additional charges.
*May Not Be Available With Special Financing; Applies to in-stock inventory
This is the best I've seen so far from the 8 dealerships I emailed with Donkeypunch.
What do you all think?
LX
Invoice w dest. 24063
Holdback (776)
Bottom line 23287 (may be as low as 21287)
EX
Invoice w dest. 26864
Holdback (869)
Bottom line 25995 (may be as low as 23995)
EX-L
Invoice w dest. 29801
Holdback (966)
Bottom line 28835 (may be as low as 26835)
Don't waste your money on RES or NAV. Honda GPS is horrible. Buy a Garmin. Get DVD installed from Best Buy. Skip anything above basic EX-L. EX-L with RES or NAV and Touring models are for flamers. Also skip PAX tires, which make for a harder ride and cost a fortune to replace. Instead spend 10 minutes teaching your wife how to change a flat.
Final OTD: $29,123.88 (Included Tax and Doc/Title Fee) With 0.9% AHFC for 36 Months
My Tax Rate is 7.25% and Doc/Title Fee is $265
People, when asking if the price is good or not, please indicates if the special APR is included or not - because that is $1000+ differece, if you include the tax.
What you guys think?
My job is to buy as cheaply as possible.. I assume that the dealer and me both want the same thing.... for me to purchase a car... the only variable is the price. Lower is better..

Think I should pull the trigger, or try to get it down to $29K OTD?
I'm essentially down to 28,000 with special financing, 27,000 w/o special financing. That's the best I can do in my area. We're going to pull the trigger today. Turns out that if I can get Honda financing to get me a rate of 4.34%, like a previous poster, that I would save $420 over the life of the loan vs the 2.9% at the higher price. We'll see today.
So if things go well. I should be
27,000 base price
1375 tax
289 doc fee
24 title
28688 OTD.
I did not trade in an old vehicle, nor did I put any money down. The finance guy did try to play games with me, and I tore him a new one.
One serious piece of advice: Make sure the numbers you agree to on the deal sheet are copied over EXACTLY onto the finance contract. My dealer added the "dealer fee" for $600 onto the finance agreement when it had been crossed out on the deal sheet, and tried to get me to sign the finance agreement without looking it over.
Never pay extra for mud flaps, door guards or pin striping, etc. Tell them you don't want it and they'll give it to you anyway for free.
Do NOT buy the Honda Care extended warranty or the service contract from the finance guy. You can get the Honda Care elsewhere after the sale at the new car rate up to the first 6,000 miles on your vehicle. Also, Honda does NOT have a service contract program, it's from a 3rd party vendor and it is a rip!
Here's my deal:
$ 27835.00 for EX-L (no RES and no NAV)
6.50 tire/battery disposal fee
1695.49 6.5% sales tax in Palm Beach County, FL
306.65 Registration/title/documentation fees
$ 29843.64 Out the door!!!!
Monthly finance payment $534.97
MSRP $36,445
Selling Price $30,592
Adjusted Cap Cost $31,561
LEV Rt/Amt: 51% $18,586
Term 36 months / 15k miles
LMF Sell Rate: 0.00077
Tax: $1006.07
Annual Fees: $49
Total Initial Fees: $419.00
Cash Down: $1500
Monthly Payment: $399
I have shopped other dealers in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and this is the best I have seen, any suggestions, comments, or questions might help me pull the trigger on this.
Thanks

Just wanted to post my deal in case any were interested.
08 Odyssey EX-L with RES and NAVI
+ wheel locks
+ mud guards
Purchase Price = $31,000
Price with Tax/tags/license = $33,733
Bought from Honda dealer in Orange County.
Good luck!
In 08 Mar & Apr, I went down there twice (each round trip is 2 hrs) tried to traded in the above and lease 08 Pilot but failed due to the reason Boch offered very LOW trade-in... don't expect top $ for your trade.
The advertised price is right. Sometimes the newspaper ad. is only for a coupe stock#, while sometimes are for EVERY car in stock at a specific MSRP so you are free to choose your favorite color.
The newspaper ad. is weekly. If you didn't see any you exactly like, just wait for next Saturday. New ad. is up every Saturday. The ad. is run as a cycle :1 week on LX, then next week on EXL, the week after is EX or SE and so on.
You can chat live online with sales people. The conversation is in record and can be printed out when you go there. You can also request the sale people to email you a detailed quote (best is out-of-the-door price) so no surprise after you arrive.
Only thing to be buyer aware of is the 'destination charge'. The floor manager, trying to make more bucks, will kick this charge in 1 more time, even the ad. states how much OFF MSRP and the MSRP has the dest charge included already.
Overall their ad price is cheapest among NE dealers as No.1 volume seller. Other car dealers hate Boch due some buyers ask them to match Boch's ad. price. To take advantage of this you better prepare to sell your car by yourself instead of trade-in. I downloaded Boch's promotion in PDF format and study all those fine prints weekly while I was in shopping mood.
Finally 1 month ago, leased 08 Pilot VP AWD from Herb Chambers (Boston) with 120% KBB fair value guaranteed for HONDA Trade., my 07 Odyssey LX was tarded in at $20,500 instead of Boch's offer $17,000 A $3,500 difference. However this Herb Chambers and me don't have the right chemistry, so some screwed up (theirs not mine) during the buy process:
May I know at what dealer? I'm in OC and looking for the same model too. Thx.
$27,678.52
* All prices listed in this email exclude tax, title, destination, dealer accessories (if any), processing fees. i think it is a good deal but i looked at the edmunds tmv which showed the msrp as 33,810 freight 635 total msrp 34,445.
so my question is does the msrp 34,445 include the freight. i don't want to get scammed into paying it twice. i assume the destination charge is the freight charge
Thanks.
