Order the car, put down your deposit after you review the quote, and wait it out. don't fret too much. If you have the quote your done.
I was on a 90-day adventure for Havasu Blue and gave up. Went with a black ex-l.
best of luck
Keeping our fingers crossed.
Thanks a lot. We e-mailed the Denville dealer, (and a bunch of others in the Tri-State), but did not hear back from them yet. I've set my husband on them, white is our second choice. Thanks Again!!

I've only spoken to Nick once and that was over six months ago.
JP
$27,000 (plus tax and tags)
4 year 48 K mile bumper to bumper warrenty
7 year 100 K powertrain warrenty
4.9% financing.
This would appear to be purchasing a "new" 2002 EX at a couple of hundred dollars below MSRP and having the benefit of the extended bumper to bumper and powertrain warrenty and better financing.
Any thoughts / knowledge regarding a true price / value would be apprecieted (i.e - I know the dealer paid invoice or less - and minus any holdback or pack - but did have to pay something for the certified status which extends the warrenty and gives better financing)
Good Luck.
Question - should I have any special paperwork for it being certified?
All together the deal went great, no hidden charges or BS and at $210 below sticker with a better warrenty and fincancing then a 2003, I'll take the 2002!
AFAIK, you should get some sort of paperwork confirming the warranty and certified status.
Good Luck with it.
The "crop" this week was about 5-10 2002 Odysseys all with less then 20 miles on them. All were being sold as certified used, though the one I bought had never been "dropped" the manager said ("dropped" being listed as sold - of the in service date - so the warrenty period was never activated - so my warrenty - 4/48 - began the day I picked it up.)
The dealer I'm sure is making more on these then the new ones (he gets them certainly below invoice and holdback), but MSRP is the rule out here and I paid below that, with a better warrenty and financing.
I think there is only one dealer in NJ Denville area. I do not know if I can give you the Dealership Name or not. We went to same dealer on Sep 28th and we did not get less than the MSRP. In fact $100 more than MSRP. But when we called him again on Sep 30th and asked for the final quote, we got 1500 less than MSRP. Definitely it was a month end magic. And also they get new stocks very often. Those 2 white once was there when we got ours. But we got sandstone from the new stock, which arrived same or previous day. We paid 28,783 total for EX-L.
$26860 + $1605.66 Tax + $124.70 (Reg/Title) = $28590.36. This dealer is in Burlington NJ and is willing to give the same deal to anyone if u pick one from his stock on EXL or EX (red, Sandtone Beige and Silver are currently in stock). However one might end up paying the intial $49 for documentation though. That was taken off since I financed through him. If anyone wishes to get more details contact me at awagh@hotmail.com
I applied two weeks earlier at peoplefirst.com (advertised on edmunds) I would say one of the best experiences I ever had, you apply online and they call you w/i 15 minutes to let you know if your approved and for how much. No fees, even if you don't use thier check. From my dealings with them they are a quality, first class organization.
When I told F&I, fine I will use my 4.99% peoplefirst.com check he bent over backwards to meet it.
Bottom line always go in to meet F&I with your own financing. If they don't meet or match you don't have to accept their rate.
I could not wait for the $1500 off deal, and managed to get an EXL with no add ons for MSRP (did end up getting free mud guards, but thats another story)
You can email me and I will give you some names of the people I dealt with, some good others not so good.
Seriously though, I hae seen one Havasau Blue. Ford and Toyota have a color that's close, but a bit more garish. I've heard it described as Crest toothpaste blue, but it's not that bad. I did also manage to see the green that's sort of an army green pearl (Evergreen Pearl?). I didn't like it too much but hey, beauty is in the eye of the owner.

Thanks
People will be posting links in the 2004 Sienna discussion. Here's our Future Vehicles info on it.

More and more I'm feeling like because it's a difficult color (supposedly) to get, the dealer doesn't want the hassle so he tries to sell me the colors he knows he gets easily. Can you tell I'm getting frustrated?
I seem to recall you also dealt with Jacobs Twin. I'm in weekly contact with internet group and they haven't tried to get me to pick another color (I've requested the dark blue). However, they also claim to have no real knowledge about delays in blues and the dark blue is "scheduled" to be shipped sometime in November, I think. I'm wondering if I should be shopping around.
Good luck to you.
Thanks

What do you think?
I feel like I got the 2003 Honda Odyssey around September 2003 was kind of hurry. ($28,400)
Anyone got a best deal like that?
Anyway, we told him we were shopping around the NY tri state area, and he gave us this song and dance that we would not be covered under the Lemon Law of New York if we did not purchase in NY. OK, sounds reasonable, so my research leads me to believe that we would be covered by the Lemon Law of the state that we did purchase in. Salesman says No, because we will not pay sales tax in that state, the sales tax would go to NYS. So, wouldn't I then be covered by NYS Lemon Law?
What is the story? Has anyone heard of this sales tactic, and which states law would I be protected by?
The dealer advised me that I would have to deal with NH as that is where the transaction took place.
YMMV
