1. when the lights are on the passenger rear lamp
goes out when you press the brake to stop. I changed the bulb. if the light are not on the brake lamp works like it should. When the lights are on the tail lamp is on but dim.

2. The electric door lock..when unlocking using the key the door lock will lock after unlocking
sometimes so fast you have to try several times to get in the car.

3. The shift indicater does not track i.e. when in drive the indicater is in neutral position etc.

The tail light going out when the brake pedal's depressed is caused by a poor ground for the light bulb. Check the bulb socket, lamp housing, & associated wiring.

If the quadrant indicator moves when you change gear positions but isn't aligned properly, it needs adjustment. Also have engine/trans mounts checked. If it's not moving then it's operating cable or linkage is broken or disconnected.

Not sure about the door without having the car in front of me but would suspect the lock switch or relay.

I'd agree on those excellent diagnoses...definitely a ground problem in the tail light. Automatic door lock systems vary from car to car, so I can't guess any better than alcan on those.

Just the "older car" blues...those little things that happen over the years....
