Hmm... where do I start...
Okay, I have just bought a Bimmer 325xi.. so far it is still on the way from Germany to my town... My dealer suggests that I get the "rust proofing and paint sealant package". As I understand.. that thing would be $599... and they told me that paint sealant thing would protect my car from rust for 10 yrs... I have friends who doesn't even have it and I don't see scratch on their cars.... doesn't cars come with rust proof warranty (a 5 yr one?) especially a Bimmer for crying out loud! So is this an extra (not neccessary, or doesn't worth the money) thing my dealer wants me to get?
Pls help...
Let me say that I appreciate all your replies ahead of time. Have a nice day! ^^

I think these types of options and also pricey extended warranties are a way the dealers make extra money on a car. I don't feel they're neccessary. There are so many cars that don't have this stuff and are just fine. Your Bimmer is not going to rust within ten years, are you even going to keep it that long anyway. BTW, I have a 330 coupe. Good luck.
Don't do it. Wax the car and keep the money.
By the way, when I just bought my BMW, they were offering rim and tire protection insurance for $350. If you have 17 inch rims and drive on rough roads that one might be worth the money. Some alloy rims are pretty soft. Me? I didn't take it, but then I didn't go for the 17's either.
I totally agree with these other persons. Money down the drain.
