2013 Mazda 3 Hatchback Knocking under drivers side

My new 2013 Mazda 3 Hatchback with 1k miles has developed physical knocking directly under my left foot when I take off. I am really concerned. It feels like a rock is hitting underneath the floor. I thought I was dragging a branch or something. It actually feels like I am running over something. It stops as soon as I am out of first gear. Anyone have any ideas?

    Sounds like the car should still be under warranty. Do you have a local dealer you can take it to?

    Yes I do. The knocking has stopped, but it sure had me wondering. Thanks.

    I'd have it checked out for something like a loose motor or transmission mount, a bad CV joint, or loose exhaust system.
