Looking at a used '06 IS250 RWD with 57k miles. It only has the heated/cooled seat and woodgrain package option and nothing else. It looks pretty clean inside and out.

Is $15k fair price for it? I'm in NC and buying it from a private party. KBB on it for private party is around $18k and trade-in value is around $15k.

The guy offered me $3000 off 2014 IS 250 today. Is this a good deal?

That is a phenomenal price. You should take it. I don't expect too much discounting on these. I just bought a Lexus IS 250 AWD with navigation and luxury packages this weekend and did my research through consumerreports.org. They suggest a target price of $44,990 and list is $45,838 so they are coaching to look for $1,000 off. Dealer invoice (what they pay to get the car on the lot) is $43,205, so not likely to get below that. Of course, with any car deal, the wiggle room is often in the trade-in price they are willing to give you. So your trade-in may have been figured in to the discount they offered you.

As for the car, it is phenomenal. If we could drive butter, that's what this car feels like!

Thanks. I feel much better. Dropping by tomorrow to get my car. It was a straight up $3000 discount. No trade in.

    Hi All,
I think I'm getting a pretty great deal on a 2014 Lexus IS 250 F Sport w/Nav but wanted to see if anyone else has seen something better. The car is 2014 IS 250 F Sport sedan with nav in silver lining metallic with black interior. MSRP is $42,988 as also includes trunk mat, cargo net, whl locks and blind spot monitor.

The offer price is $39,000 before TT&L, including tint.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

That is at or near the invoice price. Good deal. Now that you've negotiated a good price, don't let them take advantage with your financing and trade (if you have one).

Thanks- they just dropped another $500 as I'm speaking with two dealers so it's $39K flat now.

Can you please let me know what you mean by taking advantage on finance? I have good credit so should qualify for the best APR possible- what should a good target be?

    No trade-in... Thanks!

After one test drive and 6 emails I have an offer of $3k off MSRP (Atlanta, GA) of $42,998 for an IS250 F sport with nav. 1st runner up was $2,250 off MSRP for an identical car. I think I might do a little better at the end of December but will most likely buy now.

In the finance office that's were they pitch the "back end products' such as extended warranty, LoJack, prepaid Maints. Gap insurance, Car Care ect. In most cases you can go back and forth on the price first price they present to you. Personally, I like the warranty if I was buying a German car but in this case Lexus is very dependable brand so I'll pass. 100% of the time if the dealer offer a prepaid maintenance plan I will take it because after doing the math it simply make sense. Also keep in mind there is not much to negotiate on the prepaid maintenance. Other then that all the other product has no value to me.

Just purchased a 2014 IS250 AWD with Premium & Navigation package and preferred accessories. Has blind spot and rear cross traffic monitoring(didn't know it had rear cross traffic).

Live in the DC metropolitan area and they had good deals for college grads, 0.9% finance for up to 5 years and the cars where flying off the lots.

Paid $39,700 INCLUDING taxes, title, and fees. MSRP was $44,032 before taxes, title, and fees.
