Chevy Silverado Automatic Transmission Shifting Anomalies

recently turned 130K miles and am starting to experience shifting anomilies as well as using tranny fluid. Is this a known issue and what is required to correct it?

Well that's a fair number of miles, so I'd chalk that up as more likely the symptoms of age and use; however, the loss of transmission fluid is troubling. If you don't see any leaks, after say putting the truck on a lift, I would definitely check for problems with the trans oil cooler compartment in your truck's radiator. Any mixture of trans fluid and coolant in there? (pinkish foam in either radiator or on the trans dipstick?). If so, an IMMEDIATE repair is in order!
