Trying to figure out a good first vehicle...
So me and my dad are trying to figure out a first vehicle to buy when I turn 16. My dads requirements are: Safe, Reliable, Stable (so low center of gravity or wide wheelbase) and under $5000. I personally like the look of the older toyota FJ80's, especially with the flood light array on the front (but of course you can't find one of those for under $10k. I also like the look of Jeeps and F100s. I wouldn't mind a car, but I'd prefer it be something sporty looking (Love the look of the '82-'92 Firebirds). Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

Have you checked out Toyota Celica? Sporty looking and folks I know that have (had) one say they are reliable machines. Safety wise, I don't know much about. May be hard to find depending where you live.
