2003 Infiniti I35 pressure in crank case and oil blow back into air filter box
I have a 03 I35 that has 367,000+ miles on it mostly highway
Recently I noticed smoke from exhaust and the smell of burning oil
What I want to know is this some major engine problems ( rings head gaskets etc...) that would not be worth the money with that many miles on the motor and tranny The car has never had the chain or water pump changed

Well certainly at 367K you have internal engine wear. If you want to know exactly where this wear is occurring (could be rings, yes, if you have blowby into the air filter box), you'd have to do a cylinder leakdown test.
You might also check the PCV system and make sure that's not all clogged up--that could cause problems with excessive crankcase pressure.
No need to change a timing chain unless it's rattling around at idle. As for the water pump---if you solve the oil burning issue, and intend to keep the car, putting on a new water pump isn't a bad idea.
