Alternative for Ford part Hybrid brake Regenerativ controller, does anyone know of aftermarket part?

Daughter has 2008 Escape Hybrid with 100,129 miles, Ford warranty out at 100,000 miles also the Regenerative Brake Controller bad. $4100 for Ford part! Anyone know of alternative supplier or aftermarket part for these hybrids?

So Ford didn't offer ANY kind of goodwill adjustment or partial adjustment even though you were only 3000 miles out of warranty at the time?

She had Ford 100,000 mile, warranty Nope no Adjustment no nothing, only 129 miles out of warranty. think I am going to buy a salavage 2008 Escape at auction for 2000, remove brake part patch up her car, trade car for Non hybrid, sell salvage car for 200.
