Samsung Galaxy S4 not pairing with 2013-2014 Camry LE. Anyone else?

I often rent Camry's 2013 or 2014 LE models.
My Samsung Galaxy S4 that I bought last november won't pair with either model year Camrys.
Wondering if other people have had similar issues with the same or other smartphones.

    Have you tried a soft reset (like turning airplane mode on and off? How about delete the phone and making it discoverable all over again?

    Yes, I tried soft reset, booting in safe mode, boot clear of cache. The phone doesn't pair, so there is nothing to delete on the camry side, but thanks for your suggestions
