Ford Expedition Rattling Sound

Hello All,
Yesterday while driving my 2005 expedition Eddie Bauer edition. It began to to make a metal type ratteling noise that sounded like it could be coming from the Catalytic Convertor. I kind of equate the sound to when you do not have the proper oil or oil weight in the car. If this is the Cat, I am debating on putting a straight pipe in. Has anybody else had a similar problem. Also the truck does have 108,000 miles on it. Cat problems could be suspected, but I am not losing engine power when this noise occurs.

Just a guess, but that sounds like a loose heat shield. Most people just have them cut off, once they get loose.
