  2. if so, what is the best way to negotiate that if I do not care about keeping the car at the end of the lease?

thanks! Got an email saying Mercedes would do $0 down, $460/month for 48 month lease. Sounds like a good deal, any advantage to getting 48 months? Or should I negotiate a 27/33 months?

48 months is a long time to lease a car.. I'd stick with 27 or 36 month terms, as those are the best, from a payment perspective.

Ok, here is what I purchased yesterday: 2014 C250, Premium 1, no multimedia package but added the Becker system for $600, $37,469 (MSRP $42,000), 48 month lease, 12k, $408/month, residual 52%, MF .001010. Tip that I did not do: ask about the auto-pay discount prior to agreeing to monthly payments.

also, the payments for the 27/33 month lease were a lot HIGHER than the 48 month.
