US purchase of 2014 Toyota Hybrid LE from Canada

US dealers are offering only the Hybrid Limited model this year, but Canadian dealers have also the Hybrid LE and the Hybrid XLE available . Is there a way for a US buyer to purchase one of these? Can a US dealer order one? I have not heard back from 2 local Toyota dealers. If not, what are the considerations for buying from a Canadian dealer? I am about 500 miles from Winnipeg.

    I guess it's doable, assuming you can find a Canadian Toyota dealer willing to sell to you (I doubt a US dealer will work with you). The other thing to check is whether the warranty is valid in the US if you buy a new car in Canada. You may have to drive back north for warranty work.

    Let me guess, since you are "north", you're interested in the Highlander Hybrid, as opposed to an Avalon?
