Buying a new car in NC or NJ?

I am considering buying a new car (Honda or Toyota). I live in North Carolina. The car will mainly operate in North Carolina but sometimes in New Jersey. My husband currently lives in New Jersey.

According to the articles below, it seems the total cost will be lower if I buy the car in North Carolina.

Is there any other cost factors I should consider? Any advantage of buying the car in New Jersey? Thanks!

I think the market is more competitive in New Jersey, than NC... (be sure to factor in dealer/doc fees, as they seem to be getting ridiculously high in NC).

Of course, you can buy anywhere that you can get a great deal, but register the car where it's cheapest to title/own it..
