96 Lincoln Town Car Electrical Issue
Hey guys, I have a 96 Lincoln Town car and for the last 3 days I have been having this issue that while I am driving my radio will reset off and on (please note it is an after market radio). When I arrive to my destination and turn off the ignition my car suffers a complete power failure. Usually to resolve this I play around with the power distributor box and after a few tries I have power again. Although playing with the PDB fixes it, it is only a temp fix as it goes out every time I turn off the ignition. I'm looking for a more permanent fix. Any help would be appreciated.
Also note at times I seem to have power again when I turn the ignition it goes out again.

I call this a Thomas Edison Problem--that is, some electrical issue that requires a bit of digging. From the way you describe it, it sounds more like some corrosion or looseness issue in wiring or fuses. The tip off is your jiggling around in the PDB. I'd say start with ground wires---any you can find, including battery ground cables, and any ground wiring from the PDB to the frame of the car. Inspect, clean, tighten.
