Buick Rendezvous AC compressor clutch problems

I just bought this vehicle and was told by the seller that the AC was disconnected and just needed to be reconnected. No big deal....right lol. I am a DIY mother of 4 and I would really like to figure this out before spending $ at an ac shop. When I start the car and turn the ac on... Nothing. No fan sound and no ac or heat. There are also not light indicating power. Under the hood the pulley belt is turning but the clutch isn't spinning. I looked at the clutch relay and its not damaged. My research has said it could be low freon. I have an ac pro recharge kit but they said it was "disconnected". Please give me an idea to what could be causing this. I have taken some pictures of what I can see from the top and I don't see anything disconnected.

Any help will be appreciated :)

Since you describe the car as also having no heat, I'm leaning toward suspecting the dashboard controls as a possible cause. First things you can do are a) check for voltage at the AC compressor using a simple test light and b) checking your fuse panel. If you're getting current to the compressor, then you probably have a bad AC compressor clutch. If no current, it could be dash controls, fuses, or as you say low freon.

The AC system is not really a DIY operation so if you can't determine an electrical cause I'd take it into an AC specialist.
