Driving home today noticed coolant light on about 2 miles from home. Made it home but jeep was very very hot.

Allowed engine to cool, added water to overflow tank, cranked engine and it pulled water into system, only visable leaks were from overflow. (coolant light now off). Drove jeep about 2 miles and was overheated again. Oil level is right, radiator is full, no visable leaks. Overheat is less than 10 min at low speed (less than 50mph). Thermostat?

Yes, quick overheat could be thermostat.........also symptoms of a bad head gasket or cracked cylinder head. Is there any water in the oil (milky substance on your oil dipstick) or any oily film in the radiator?

If a new thermostat doesn't fix it, you might have the system pressure tested. If that all checks out, I guess you'll have to look at the radiator being clogged very badly.
