Chevy 1500 transfer case applications.

Will someone who is knowledgeable share with me which New Process transfer cases I could use in my 2004 chevy 1500? It currently has a NP261. I am curious as to whether any other applications will work. Thank you in advance for any help...

    You may need to consult a database called Hollander Interchange. This is used extensively by automobile recyclers to answer the very type of question you are asking. Unfortunately it's quite expensive so you'll have to ask a recycler for this information--but if you are buying from them, this might work out.

    I suppose you could also contact a 4-wheel-drive specialty shop if there is one in your area.
