Gifted a car in Canada and want to import into US

Hi, I'm a US resident and my parents who live in Canada want to give me their used car to bring back to US/Seattle. I know I need to check whether the car conforms to US motor vehicle requirements but what type of import taxes (if any) and other costs would I have? Trying to weigh benefits of a (free) used car from parents versus buying a used car in Seattle.

You can spend a few hours reading that... but, in the end, it will probably be cheaper for your parents to sell the car, then give you the money to buy another car in the U.S.
