Are you a current or recent car shopper who bought an EV and then installed solar – or who had solar already, making the decision to go electric easier?
OR
Are you a recent EV buyer (past 3 months) as a result of manufacturer incentives and dealer discounts on these vehicles, including year-end deals? Were you convinced to buy an EV after finding a good end-of-year deal, or due to uncertainty around which EVs will no longer qualify for full/partial EV tax credits in 2024? Mazda 626 surging and high reving problem

Hello, I have a 1993 Mazda 626 which has developed a engine idle surging and cutting off problem. I originally thought that it was a transmission issue, which needed repair anyways, but that has been fixed and the issue is still there. Basically the car runs fine, but on ocassion it will rev high up to 2000 rpm on idle. When that happens and you place it in drive the idle will falter and the engine will die. If at a stop light when this happens and you give it gas, it will falter and cut off or spit brown smoke, not black or blue, but brown smoke out the back. It seems as if the engine is flooding with gas caused by an inaccurate signal sent to the fuel sensors by the temperature sensors etc. Not sure!!! Anyone out there with any ideas? Have you seen or heard of this before?

Look in the Mazda 626 troubles site. There is a site that shows how the repair can be Done. My mechanic did it for $35.00. He was a Mazda specialist.
