97 Tahoe electrical gremlins

Have a '97 Tahoe, having problems the last couple months. Battery died a couple months back, and was replaced with a brand new battery. Then, it died a couple weeks later, so the alternator was replaced. Since then, the battery has died a couple times since then, most recently yesterday. The towing harness wires were checked to make sure none were frayed, etc, and possibly causing a short. These appeared to be fine. Fuses were inspected, and none were blown. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

MOst likely a low current draw short circuit of some type.

If your visors have lighted vanity mirrors that could be the problem, the switches go bad and the lights stay on draining the battery. My Aunt's S-10 had the same problem and that was what was causing it. Another possibility could be a bad ground from the battery to the engine or engine to chassis.

Well, first thanks to the two that posted. Looks like the problem was the light under the hood wasn't turning off, had a bad switch, and since it was on all the time, kept draining the battery.
