    Great tips in this article

Pretty much how I've always done things. I could shorten it to "Be prepared"

My strong suit is always being able to say NO to extended warranties and such with no malice :)

You guys did a really great job of preparing me for my new car purchase in January 2018. However, there were two scenarios that I was not prepared for. And hopefully you will right back to me as I may be preparing to buy another car soon.

Upon delivery of my new car to my home, the dealership had a huge stack of papers that I needed to sign that frankly, I felt like I needed a lawyer for.

    1. One document obligated me to not sue and proceed to arbitration instead if there were any problems with the purchase. I was very uncomfortable with this, especially considering that the judge for such a hearing, most likely, has the dealership's interest in mind over mine. I really did not know how to handle that situation and am hoping that someone on your staff addresses this soon with a practical approach as to how to handle this. What should I do if I run into this situation again? Please bear in mind that I am a regular every day American, not a lawyer, nor am I a celebrity.

    2. Another document wanted me to authorize them to share my data with other businesses that they collaborate with. I was also extremely uncomfortable with this. The gentlemen making the delivery and I got into a heated discussion about this. I wanted to say no but they were there waiting with my wife's new car in my drive way and my wife was waiting as well. Please help me so I am prepared for this in the near future. What can I do if this scenario arises again?

How do I evade both of these situations in the future? I am hoping someone from your staff gives me a thorough and honest response as I think many of your fans and visitors to your site would benefit from a great answer as well.

Ron really helps people with his advices. Nowadays buying a new car is not such a simple event as it may seem.

Thanks, Heln! I agree. It's a lot more complicated than what current buyers perceive it to be.

    Hi Ronald Montoya,

I felt very happy while reading this site. This was really very informative site for me. I really liked it. This was really a cordial post. Thanks a lot

I read out your steps about to buying a new car. I agree with it.
and i have some thought of mind.

    Here's are:

    1. You should list out some requirements firstly.
    2. Research and approach a dealership.
    3. Consult with existing owner.
    4. Checking & Read out Some Online Reviews.
    5. Query for Discount.

    Thanks.

I read each article and found them to be very helpful. I would, however, like to know if paying cash for a new car would save in any way?

Cash does not usually result in a cost savings. It makes no difference to a dealer, they get the cash whether the customer pays cash or finances.

In fact, paying cash may result in the buyer paying more. The reason is the back end profit, the F&I office. Dealers view the F&I office as a major profit center. They often earn more in the F&I office through bumped up interest rates and overpriced products than they do on the sale of the vehicle.

If the dealer knows the buyer is paying cash, the dealer may conclude its chance to earn profit in the F&I office is reduced. As a result they may try to sell higher to a cash buyer than they would to a finance buyer.

You should never reveal you are paying cash until after you have negotiated the price. Always let the dealer assume you are financing. You have no obligation to disclose how you will pay until after price is negotiated.

Always remember a car sales person is never your friend nor your adviser. Be polite but always be skeptical.

    1. Create a monthly a budget.
2.Do research on the vehilcles that you would consider buying that fit within the budget.
3.Test drive the vehicle from the closest dealer with the best reputation. Telll the salesman the truth. You are thinking about buying that vehicle but are not sure if its right one for you.. Let the saleman help you determine which car is right for you.. If the salesman starts making false statements or can't answere your questions, go somewhere else. They might acually be able to offer you advice. They probably know more about it than you do. You gain a wealth of information about the car, salesman, and dealer if you listen and ask questions.
4.Thank them and say that you that you do not to waste any more of theier tme, but you will buy the car from them if it is one that you decide to purchase. You gain a wealth of information about the car, salesman, and dealer if you listen and ask questions.
    5. You are now ready to buy the car.
    6. Go back to saleman. Say, "Remenber me. We talked about the ...... I've made my decision, but. honestly i am not sure if I can afford it.
    7. Now the negoiation will be in monthy payments. DO NOT MENTION PRICE. You will be lying and a good saleman will catch that and the negotions will no longer be easy. You will lose a friend and your advantage.
    8. No not fear monthy panyments. It is the easiest way to negotiate the entire deal without going back and forth on every line item. It also forces the salesman to include every fee in the transaction. They can't add surprise costs. You can create a spreadsheet in 5$ payment variances to know what the final PRICE will be.
    9. The first offter will be with longer payment terms. Not comfortable with that length.
    10. Larger down payment? -can't do that
    11. Lower priced model? No I really want all the features in that car
12 Saleman is now stuck. He has only one option left. Lower his PRICE.
    13. Say "You know what, I really like that car and I really like your dealership. Is there anything esle that you can do for me?
    14. You will end up with a great deal from a nice guy. You will probably refer friends to him. The salesman is thinking same thing.
    15. This type of negoition is fun. I enjoy the process. I talk to the saleman and finance manager when I go in to have my car serviced. I needed a loner car and the Service Adviser said that they didn't have any. The Finance Manager found one for me. Why would he do that? Don't all of the experts tells us that Finance Managers and always out to screw the custoner?; Eight of my friends have bought cars from that dealer.
---A smart purchase decision almost never involves the lowest price. Price negotiations are a pain for both sides. Neither side adds value to the other. You think your saleman was an "a-hole" and the dealer can't wait to never see you again. That's fun.

I want to buy a new Tuscon 2022. Should I take a mechanic with me when the delivery is set?

    For what?

It's a brand new car, with a warranty. What could your mechanic possibly find?

Totally related with you, when moving long distances within the United States, hiring a car transport USA company is a great way to transport your vehicle.
