That sounds like a great deal. Looks to be way under invoice. I posted above what I paid with 1/2 the equipment you have and you're going to pay a few hundred more than me. Does this include the dest. charge? Do you have a trade in?

The spoiler, foglamps and conv. package even at invoice is well over 1K in options.

Yes it does include dest charges. No I did not have a trade in. I will probably get some more money off because I work for the dealership but I dont know how much. They told me that I have to talk to the GM.

Ask about getting VPP pricing...it's for partners of Nissan USA, I am sure there is an employee pricing program. I stumbled on this by accident when I was sitting at the dealership waiting to negotiate my vehicle.

Just bought a 2.5S with CVT in Dark Slate. Came with Fog Lamps, Kick Plates, Splash Guards, Floor and trunk mats and the emergency aid package. We paid $20,385 including destination. They also threw in all the dealer add ons for free: pinstriping, interior protection with 5 year warranty and paint protection.

We opted out of the $500 rebate and took the financing offer instead.

    Hope this helps!

I would like to get a Hybrid Altima. I live in Utah (not a green state). If you have a contact in California that is making good deals I would be much obliged. Also what you got and how much you paid OTD would help. Thanks.

I just bought an Altima S this afternoon after doing a lot of research this week on invoice prices and figuring out how to get the best deal. However, I wasn't prepared to see the dealer's actual invoice show that the destination charge was separate from the base price which made the invoice figure actually $19,794 which is over $600 more than I thought it would be. The salesman even pulled up the sight on Edmunds which showed the destination fee and it seemed that it was a separate fee. Is this true or did he somehow pull a fast one on me? By the way, he sold it to me for $19,794. I would just hate to feel like I somehow got taken.
  • smr36smr36 Member Posts: 59
You didn't. The destination charge is legit.
  • icbiicbi Member Posts: 3
Thank you! I really appreciate all the help I got from sites online and consumer report guides I bought, but I think the destination charge should be something to red flag for folks. I knew exactly what the invoice base price was and the invoice price for various options but when I found I was $600 off what I thought was total invoice price, that threw me for a loop. Well, I plan to hang on to my Altima for a long, long time, and hopefully I'll remember this next time around. By the way, I absolutely love it so far!

Wanted to pass this on to all searching for an Altima. I was looking to trade an '07 3.5 SL Loaded w/ everythng incl. nav as I need more cargo space, and was really thrown to find most dealers only offering $21.5k for it. (I paid invoice $30k 3 months ago) I have only 8500 miles and the car is pristine. I was looking at an Acura MDX and a Toyota Highlander. The 2 dealerships also have Nissan stores elsewhere in the state. Well, to make a long story short, BOTH dealers shared with me why my trade is so low. Nissan dealer cost for a LOADED 3.5 SL is currently $24,960!! That is the actual cost to the dealer with incentives. I was shown the "cost sheet" at the Acura dealer because he didn't want me to feel like I was being screwed. So for those of you purchasing a new Altima........bargain from $24960 for a loaded SL, NOT from invoice.

I really want to believe that dealer cost number but I think it's a little too low.

I think 21.5K is a little low for your car. I think 23K range might be a little more reasonable.

I'm not an expert, just IMO. :P

    Hi! all..

    I have a question..

I have a quote for 2007 Nissan 2.5 SL at 23,9 (standard package) and one for 2007 3.5 SL at 25,5 (again standard package). Which quote is better?
Both the dealers aren't going any little bit lower on the quote. Either I do not know (even after a lot of research :-() how to negotiate or the price is really bottom line. Help me out with suggestions. Based on ur suggestions I have got to decide btw the two.

    Thanks guys. -kurtly.

Esomer, email me at marc_jiang@hotmail.com as there is a dealer offering at invoice for the 2007 (possibly lower if base model) but I am not permitted to leave you salesperson name or number per forum rules.

You can rest assured that the actual cost is a lot more than $24960. Did the cost sheet say actual invoice from nissan. A acura dealer would not have that information unless they sold both cars out of the same building sharing the same office space.

Did they try and show what cost is on a 2.5 sl with tech pkg. Even at that price it would be low. A 2.5 sl would be closer $26500 and 3.5sl would have been closer to $28700.
  • jd10013jd10013 Member Posts: 779
Nissan dealer cost for a LOADED 3.5 SL is currently $24,960!!

according to kelly blue book, the invoice price is 26900, and thats probably not fully loaded, because its just bassed on the sl model.

But anyhow, never sell a car that soon after you bought it. you'll always take a bath on it, unless maybe you go back to the dealership you got it from. being a regular customer and buying again from them, they will probably give you much more for the trade in.

    ALCON:

Just received the following note from my local Nissan Dealer. It appears 08 sedans are projected to arrive next month. The dealer is accepting non-refundable deposits for the vehicles.

If you are still interested in the 2008 Nissan Altima, please call or email immediately, since I only have an allocation of 13.

A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit will be needed to factory order your vehicle. They are anitcipating September delivery
  • smr36smr36 Member Posts: 59
I would never give a non refundable deposit. Wait a few months and there should be plenty on the lot.
  • gooddeal2gooddeal2 Member Posts: 750
Based on Nissannews website, the '08 should be in the lot already or sometime soon.

Hi i have been shopping around for a 2007 altima sadan for a week or so and i have been quota by the dealer 20,500 otd and i live in cail, if anyone could tell me this is a good price and it comes with floor mats and splash guard, thanks
  • gooddeal2gooddeal2 Member Posts: 750
I think it's a decent deal if it's in the northeast. I'm not sure in CA. That's about 18.6K + TTL?, considering 8+% tax in CA.
  • edwinfleeedwinflee Member Posts: 2
I plan on paying cash for an Altima 3.5SE CVT with the premium package, splash guards, moonroof wind deflector, VDC, and the floor mats etc. etc. What is the best price you all think I can aim for. Thank you.

  • frankinbeansfrankinbeans Member Posts: 20
Get the invoice price for the trim, add the options deduct any rebates that you qualify for. All available on Edmunds.
Offer a few hundred less than that and see what they say.
If you don't have a trade and will be paying cash as you stated. Work with the Internet manager.
Make sure you get all the fees the dealership likes to add. We had a Nissan dealer that charged a $199 doc fee vs $49 doc fee at another dealership. Of course the one charging $199 offered me a car for under invoice but after all the fees. The dealership with the $49 came out cheaper OTD.
  • kbochatkbochat Member Posts: 3
Ok so I have been eyeing the 3.5 SL because it seems like the best deal, when you add the premium option package on the SE anyways. They turn out to be the same price so not sure why you would want to put the premium package on the SE unless I am missing something pretty obvious?

I have received 2 "internet" quotes from dealers which I believe are good because they are below the TMV on here. does this seem too good to be true?

3.5SL $25,940 plus tax, title, license and doc fee

    Or

    Make: 2007 Nissan
    Model: Altima 3.5 SL

Options: Floor Mats, Splash Guards, Sirius Satellite

    *MSRP: $29,315.00

    *Internet Price: $25,710.00
  • edwinfleeedwinflee Member Posts: 2
There is a dealer in Tampa that has the 3.5 SE with the premium package, wind deflector, splash guards, and since it is the premium package I would assume leather seats (it just says black.) The internent price says $29,325. Any takers on how much I could get them to come down. I would like to think $27-27,500 out the door.

    Hi All,

    I have been offered 2007 Altima 2.5S CVT for $20,400 +TTL.

Options include: Convenience package, ABS, Mud flaps and all season floor mats.

Does this sound like a good deal for Minneapolis/St Paul area?

    Thanks for the inputs.
  • frankinbeansfrankinbeans Member Posts: 20
I'm a few hundred miles southwest from Minn. Five/6 weeks ago I picked up my 07 2.5S CVT for 20,400 +TTL, took the finance rate vs the $500 rebate at the time. Which according to Edmunds is $2 below invoice.

Options: ABS, Side airbags, kick plates, mud flaps, emergency pack. I think that's it. No convenience package.

Picked up some 2007 OEM 16" alloys off eBay for next to nothing to replace the steel wheel/caps.

    Hi All,

Haven't seen many quotes on here for a fully loaded SL. Wondering if anyone has experience buying it w/ all the options and see if the offer I got is good...?

    2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL
    -Aluminum kick plates
    -Mats w/ hooks
    -Splash guards
    -Rear spoilter
    -Technology Package
    -Vehicle dynamic control
    -Sunroof wind deflector

    MSRP: $32,875
    Invoice: $30,190

Got a quote for $30,000 (including freight) + tax + doc fee. Is this a good deal? Please help.
  • gooddeal2gooddeal2 Member Posts: 750
There's $500 or special APR incentive now. So, if you don't want to take the special APR, you should be able to get about 500 to 900$ below invoice. However, it depends on your area.
  • icbiicbi Member Posts: 3
Hi kash4. I bought an Altima 2.5S at the end of July at a dealer near Minneapolis. I paid $19,794 + TTL but I only got the floormats. For the extra that you would get, it sounds to me like it would be a very good deal. Does that include the destination charge as well?

This forum has been great with giving me the info I needed to make an informed decision on Leasing an '07 Altima 2.5S with the SL package. See exact numbers used in my lease below. I leased from Coral Springs (Florida) Nissan - the salesman was not that great, but I got the price I wanted and the Finance Mgr, Giovanni Centurino, was awesome and even saved us money at signing which is almost unheard of. Knowing the MF & RF helped me calculate everything to make a fair offer and know where my money was going.

'07 Altima 2.5S with SL package
includes Kick plates, First Aid Kit, Sunroof & deflector, Mats, Leather/heated seats

    36 month lease/12K miles
    MSRP = 25595
    Negotiated Price = 23575
Total Paid at Signing $1000 (includes 1st pmt, & TTT)
    Monthly Payment = $355 - $11 ($500 College Grad Rebate deducted from Cap Cost) = $344/month
    Residual Factor = 57%
    Money Factor = .00214

24136.73 Cap Cost (23541.73 Neg price + 595 Acquisition fee)
    -497.26 College Grad Rebate
    23639.47 Net Cap Cost
    14703.15 Residual Value
    11683.08 Total Pmts

Make sure you ask about the Rebate b/c no salesperson told us about it, but Finance Mgr did at signing. He even threw in the Tire Road Hazard Protection for free. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  • kbochatkbochat Member Posts: 3
Well I finally bought a Altima 2.5S unfortunately no SL package but we came close

    Spoiler
    Splash Guards
    Floor and truck mats
    Fog Lights
    ABS
    Convenience Package
    Custom Leather
Sunroof with lifetime warranty outside of Nissan's
    Destination charge
    Heated seats

Out the door was 23,708 + tax, title, and license with the 2.9 financing

That is about 700 bucks cheaper than what carsdirect.com quoted me, and the only things really missing are the alloy wheels, and the vents in the back seat.

    Hello,

I am in the market for a altima coupe 3.5 6MT with premium package. The MRSP is $28,715. The edmunds invoice price is $26,490. How much am I suppose to be paying for this car? How much discount should i look for? Im in the new york area btw. Thanks.

I doubt you get that much of from sticker especially if they have only 2 or 3 cars on the lot. I think it might be better if you wait till Dec. or so.
