Dash lights were a glowing blue, neat. Wagon shape is practical, but it's Mini Cooper sized. And RWD! Thumbs up!

That S40 trunk opening was nice. The lid opens up and then away from you so it's tilted towards the front of the vehicle. I could see how great that would be for fitting in a stroller. Ah, that's what wagons are for anyway, right?

I don't particularly like how asymmetrical it is. The B9SC has a much better layout.

'Tis true, and I'm a little grumpy for it. Kind of puts a damper on the Forester as a long-distance family hauler, at least in the short term. Once baby gets out of needing the "travel system" (sounds sort of like a national intermodal transportation program) and into an umbrella stroller and conventional car seat, it shouldn't be as great an issue.

I love details like that. Remember the plastic "Toyota" sign above the rear glass of the MR2? When the sun hit it (or any light) it would project "Toyota" onto the rear glass. Cool.

This is so cool. You push the seat up, it spring loads into place. Pull that latch and it springs the seat forward and down, it's a cinch.

Please bring this over Subaru!

Good room, comparable to the Legacy. You get those seat folding latches in the sedan, wagon, and hatch.

I hope you don't get the rust - sorry - "staining" on the doors, though.

Looks very much like a four door Cooper to me. Longer front overhang and rear doors are the main differences I see. I think the heritage and handling are what make the Mini sporty - not the look. The look is pure city runabout/chick car (no offense meant ladies).

Bleh. They're just rebadged Wal-Mart specials. Buy'em if you're cheap. Just don't ask your local bike shop to fix 'em when they break as it will cost you more than they're worth! In other words spend a little more and buy a bike from the bike shop in the first place, it'll last longer!

One photo opportunity I missed while in Detroit was of a undercover Chrysler Magnum wagon. My brother and I were in Ann Arbor and saw a prototype unit in the parking lot. Unpainted sides, weird serial numbers all over it and even a PVC hose sticking out one of the bumpers with a hand written sign that said "drain" on it!

The Magnum looks like a squashed down Pacifica crossed with a hearse.
