They also quote a Subaru exec saying the Baja will be classified as a truck, which is a first for Subaru. I guess they got tired of fighting for CAFE standards.
Any how, that really opens the door for an H6 Baja. Now I really don't get why they didn't go with an H6 from the get-go! They could have had favorable press, then offer the H4 at a lower price to draw in more people.

I'm sure the PS3 is a long, long ways off. Remember that the PSOne's field life was 1995-2001, exclusively, and it continues on as a low-end alternative to the PS2 even today.
I think the price drop is more about hitting the competitors where it hurts, especially the XBox since at its current price it's already a net loss per unit.

Colin-actually they already announced it- PS3 for x-mas '05. so I need to save up for that AND a B4. Naaaahhhh, just the B4!
Video games? We rent 'em once in awhile - I'd never see my kids if we owned one! Computer games are great for the little ones - amazing what 4 & 5 year olds can do.
Cheers!
Paul
Too bad it's sure to be FWD.

Saab nailed the styling. The bottom pic especially looks quite handsome. The front shows a little too much Saturn influence, but it's good overall.
I also like their cockpit-style interiors. A lot of cars have moved away from that.
The big question is - will people pay BMW-level prices for FWD and 4 cylinders? Even though they put turbos in all of them, I'm just not sure people wouldn't rather have a smooth in-line six instead.
The chassis and style are a start, but they simply have to address their powertrains.

I sampled a 1999 9-3 Viggen's interior and loved it. I liked the overhead controls, aggressive seat bolsters, shifter placement and feel and the gauge content and placement.
But there's no way the Viggen was a 'good buy' for $38k... That kind of money (nearly) bought an M3. (1999, I know the new M3 is more.)

btw there was just some discussion in the WRX wagons forum about gas mileage-- I'm getting 23 MPG in mixed city/hwy with the M3. can't complain about that, same if not a tad better than the RS!
