Help with car ID please!!

We have been trying to figure out what the car is in this photo for 12 years since my great aunt died and we found it in her photos. I have spent hours on google trying to find a picture to match it with no luck. It is a 1912 Illinois plate.

    That's going to be really tough. There were over 1800 separate makes of cars in the "old days" 1896--1930 (!!) and many of them were obscure regional "assembled" car made up of parts bought on the open market.

    This is surely pre 1912, with no starter motor and acetylene lighting. RHD drive common back then.

    Both Duryea and Aurora were built in Illinois, but this car doesn't look like either one of them.
