2007 Mitsubishi Outlander malfunction/error code

My Mitsubishi Outlander has a P1740 C fault code, what could be the problem and how can it be fixed?

From my search it appears to be a Pressure Sensor Short. Is this something that can be fixed?

    As for repairing this, the code doesn't actually tell you what to replace--it may just be a pressure switch, or it could indicate other internal issues. It needs further diagnosis.

    How's the transmission fluid? Full up? Not burned? Does the car shift normally in all gears?
