Volvo s60 whistling noise?

I have the 2004 volvo s60 and it has been making a whistling noise for a few weeks. I took it in and the mechanic said that it was the tensioner and and that the catalytic converter was clogged. So he replaced the tensioner and emptied out the catalytic converter, the noise stop. I don't hear the noise when I first start the car in the morning, but if I go to the store and come out and start the car, the noise would start back up. I also don't hear it when I press on the gas. everything checked good. No emergency lights come on, it accelerates fine, and the battery is good.

But anyway---whistling noise, disappears upon full throttle---okay, sounds like a vacuum leak. Obviously not the tensioner bearing because that didn't fix it.
