Dirty Engine. 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS.

I purchased my 2013 Sonata GLS a year and a half ago and I just looked under the hood of my car for the first time and was shocked to see a thick layer of dirt covering the entire engine. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's possible that a splash guard underneath or along the inner fender might be missing.

The engine in my 2011 gets very dirty as well. Doesn't sound unusual to me.
