The a/c knob to turn the heat to cold is stripped. How do I manually change it from under the hood?

I was told there is a lever you can switch the cold to hot if the knob is not working.

    I'm not sure but why not just replace the stripped knob? They aren't expensive.

    Is this a Highlander? If so, a common fault is the nut behind the knob is loose. You can pull the knob off and if you can push the stem up and down, the nut is loose. You can tighten it with a 7/16th nutdriver.

    No it's a camry. And the knob turns it's just stripped inside the knob so it stays cold.I know there is a lever in the engine that switches it. I just don't know where it is located
