Buying a 2007 Mercedes E350 with 78K

I am thinking of buying a 2007 E350 with 78000 miles on it. It is VERY CLEAN and APPEARS to have been well taken care of. It drives and rides very well also. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what issues to look for, if these cars were reliable and any problems people have with this car.

These cars aren't too troublesome as far as I know - by 2007, the W211 was several years old, and many kinks were worked out. 2007 is the first year of a facelift which updated some cosmetics, and uprated the engine a little. Miles are average. I don't know of any glaring achilles heels for these - maybe check the Benzworld forum or MBWorld forum, which have specific areas to seek expert advice. Even if it is nice, probably a good idea to take it in for an independent inspection. Also be prepared for maintenance that costs as much as a new MB, as that's the way it goes. These aren't like keeping a Corolla or similar on the road.
the car should perform perfectly. No excuses allowed for "it just needs a _____" . That ____ is not your problem.
