Thank you. FYI--I took it to a chrysler dealer yesterday with a coupon that said Cooling system service, drain, replace, $80.00. The writer told me all they do is drain the recovery tank & refill it. I said you gotta be kidding. I said I could suck that out with a vacuum & refill it for a lot less than $80. He then said let me check. He came back and said they will drain the radiator but not the engine block only. Is that the proper way to do that?

That should be fine. You should change the coolant every couple of years but NEVER hook up a transmission to an actual "flushing machine". You can just drain the transmission oil and refill when the factory says to do it (in your owner's manual). You go by the manual, not what the dealer's service writer says.
