Rear seat door locks seem to flinch when the switch is hit but do not open or lock with door switches or key fob activation. Any ideas?

Hm, I think my '09 Grand Caravan has child proof locks for the power sliders but I'd have to go read the manual to be sure. Something to check though.

U just want to know if this is an indicator that the power lock actuators are failing.

Could be. There was a recall on my last van (a Quest) for the door actuators. One sounded like a pinball bumper but it mostly worked. Seems a bit odd that both of yours are acting up at the same time.
