2002 S-10 Blazer ignition starter switch key won't spring back

I had the tilt problem starting then bought new key cylinder and switch but key wont spring back

Not sure on your car but on some cars the spring mechanism is in the electrical component that either clips to or is screwed to the ignition switch itself. So you may not have purchased the exact part you need.
