For what sounds like a pretty "meh" experience, Edmunds sure gives this car a lot of praise that it seems not to deserve.

I know this is not a reason to not buy a car, but what a dopey model name. I'd be compelled to call it the "Credenza". At a slightly-less expensive price, I think the Impala LTZ is waaaaaaaayyyyyyy prettier, but of course I know that's subjective.

Did Kia pay you guys to write this? Sounds like something is really holding you back from a honest review....

At the tire shop today I was thumbing through a recent "Automobile" magazine where they did a 20K mile test of a Cadenza. The adaptive cruise control stopped working--apparently a sensor is in a 'vulnerable spot in the front fascia' and it cost over $4,000 to replace--not a warranty item. There was no indication in photos of the car, that any front-end damage had occurred.

Of course that depreciation is using full sticker price on this vehicle which is almost never the price paid..

20,000 miles is a lot for a car less than a year old. That's why the value took a hit. When I see high mileage first year cars for sale, I assume they were corporate cars not particularly well cared for. That said, I still think FWD premium sedans are under-appreciated. Not everyone wants a BMW. And this car is GORGEOUS.
