Simple isn't always a bad thing. Case in point, the center stack layout of Edmunds' long-term 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The controls are easy to learn and use.

I was very impressed when I saw the Sonata at the LA Auto Show. The center stack really reminds me of a high-quality 70s stereo. Lots of knobs, silver fascia, blue screens. Well done Hyundai.

I like that there are actual buttons for most functions and you don't have to use the touch screen for everything.

That really is a great center stack. As a salesman of another "H" brand, the interior of the Sonata appears to be a strong competitor.

It reminds me of the "drones" in 'Silent Running' -- theoldrobots.com/images27/silent-running4.JPG

However it gets zero points for styling, looks plain and boring.

Looks a bit dated to me. Might be angle of the picture but reminds me of early to mid 2000's

fordescortgt is right because this is what it reminds us of...

If I'm not mistaken this has been the same dash and center stack layout Kia has been using in the Optima for several years now too. There's nothing new about it at all.

I've been liking the Kia versions more for a few years now. Really improving...

Only issue is that the Hazard button is right where you want to brace your hand when you are using the touch screen.I have turned them on several times by accident. Overall though, far superior in looks and function to the stickman in our previous 2012 Sonata.

Isn't more difficult to convert an asymmetrical dash to right-hand drive, or is that only true of older cars?
